Join us at the Capitol Arts Center on Tuesday, August 29 for a screening of the documentary film Look & See: A Portrait of Wendell Berry. Producer Gill Holland will be in attendance to discuss the film. Look & See is a cinematic portrait of the changing landscapes and shifting values of rural America in the era of industrial agriculture, as seen through the mind’s eye of writer, farmer, and activist, Wendell Berry. This event is free and open to the public, no ticket required.
This screening of Look & See is part of the 2017-2018 Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers. Southern Circuit brings the best of independent film to communities across the South. We are pleased to be one of 21 Southern communities screening Southern Circuit films this season. The Warren County Public Library is one of several community screening partners, including SKyPAC, the Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, WKU Cultural Enhancement Series, Gallery 916, 440 Main, White Squirrel Brewery, and Susan and Chuck Webb.
Southern Circuit screenings are funded in part by a grant from South Arts, a regional arts organization, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
