The Ultimate Spider-Man (2000 – 2009) series
written by Brian Michael Bendis & illustrated by Mark Bagley

I love Spider-Man, and this series is what got me back in to reading superhero comics. While there are a few series that have the name Ultimate Spider-Man, this is where you want to start. The first 10 volumes (59 issues) are available through Hoopla. This helped kick off the “Ultimate universe” which was, at the time, modern re-imaginings of classic characters. A lot of what happens in the Ultimate universe influenced what we see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe today.
