Material Selection and Delivery
There are two ways to get a library card: In person and online. There are also two types of library cards: Library Services and Digital Only
Read below to see which card meets your needs:
To be able to check out materials from a branch location, you must apply for Library Services card. (You will have access to all digital resources and streaming services as well.) Apply for a card in person at any branch location or apply online. Click here to apply online and choose "Library Services" under type of card. If you apply online, your card will be mailed to your address and you must bring an ID to any branch to validate your card.
To be able to check out digital materials and access streaming platforms, apply for a digital only library card here. Choose "Digital-Only" under type of card and receive access after your request is processed. You will be emailed your card number and then mailed a physical card. (You can upgrade your Digital-Only card to be able to check out physical materials at any time. Just visit any branch location with your ID.)

Curbside Pickup in Four Steps
- Place your requests in our online catalog. Learn how to place a hold request for an item. If you need assistance, call one of our library locations.
- Wait until you have received a holds notification, OR check your library account online to see that items have gone from “Pending” or “Active” to “Held.” Your items will be held for 5 days before expiring.
- Before your hold expires, come to the library branch you selected as the holds pick up location. When you arrive, follow the on-site instructions to let a staff member know you are there for a pick up.
- Show us your library card or photo ID and we’ll get you your materials.
All items check out for 2 weeks at a time.
An item on loan may be renewed three times unless a hold request has been placed on the item.
