Middle-Eastern Inspired Fantasy/Adventure from Sarah C.
The City of Brass: The City of Brass is the book that introduced me to Middle Eastern inspired fantasy, which is my current favorite genre. It is a whirlwind of fantasy, adventure, political intrigue, and a tiny bit of romance. The second book, The Kingdom of Copper, is just as incredible as the first, and the third book in the trilogy, The Empire of Gold, comes out in June!
The Candle and the Flame: The Candle and the Flame is a beautiful story of loss and overcoming that loss in order to become a new person. In this book, the main character literally becomes someone different, and she struggles with figuring out who she really is.
We Hunt the Flame: I can’t say enough good things about this book. The second I finished it, I just wanted to re-read it all over again! If you enjoy the trope of unlikely travel companions being thrown into an adventure together, you will love We Hunt the Flame.
The Wrath and the Dawn: This is a story inspired by A Thousand and One Nights, in which a girl volunteers to marry a Caliph, even though he is known to execute his brides. The reason she volunteers? Revenge. I couldn’t stop reading!
