The library’s Winter Reading Program has begun, and super cool special activities will be running from now until the end of January! We originally hosted the program in just in December to keep kids reading and active during the time off from school during holiday breaks, but we’ve since expanded it to additional weeks and more activities to help everyone keep the winter blues at bay.

There’s loads going on, including storytimes with the Grinch at the Capitol, visits with Santa at all of our locations, and a variety of costumed character meet-and-greet storytimes at the SoKY Ice Rink Snow Dome. We are also hosting a reading incentive program for kids, teens and adults! To participate, grab a Winter Reading Log at any library location then select any combination of 5 activities listed below to win completion prizes and an entry in our grand prize drawing:

  • Read or listen to a book
  • Attend a library program or activity
  • Skate at SOKY Ice Rink
  • Find a resource (movie, music, book, or article) through a library database

If you prefer a no-paper option, you can also complete the activities, fill out an online form (warrenpl.org/winter/log), then pick up your completion prizes at the library. We want to make it easy AND fun for everyone.
