This school year, WCPL launched a new author series aimed at younger readers called “Let’s Read,” showcasing talented high-profile authors and illustrators. The third guest of the series, Mike Lowery, is a talented illustrator AND author whose presentation will take place at the Capitol Thursday, November 14.
A New-York-Times bestselling illustrator, Lowery has created more than 80 books for children, including Pizza Shark, the Bug Scouts series, and the Everything Awesome series from Scholastic. His unique drawing style has graced calendars, advertisements, and how-to sketchbook titles, as well! Take a look at Lowery’s web site or Instagram posts for a sampling of his drawings.
