Benefits of Participating in TAB

If you are a TAB member, you will have a direct hand in influencing the type of programs and events the library provides for teens. You’ll get the opportunity to work closely with library staff to implement and run teen programs, and gain valuable volunteer and community experience you can list on a resume or college application.

Working as a TAB member gives you insight into what it takes to run a library program. You get the chance to work with a team of like-minded teen advocates led by a professional librarian. The experience you gain will be helpful as you move through your teen years and into the workforce!

During the summer, many teen volunteers help the Youth Services staff with our Summer Reading Program. Print out the application via the link below and drop it by any library location.

Reading Suggestions

Our list of 51 Books to Read Before High School is great place to find classic and modern books to read before high school.

You can also ask a librarian for a recommendation, too!

Programs for Teens

Teen programs are typically offered monthly. We have gaming, craft, drama, and tech programs at different times during the year!
