(Adult) Chair yoga is one of the most accessible forms of yoga, allowing participants to practice functional movement without the strain of getting up and down from the floor. Everyone is invited to chair yoga—from those who have never tried yoga before to experienced yogis—making it an inclusive and welcoming community. Using a chair as a prop is a great way to support spinal rotation, correct posture, and reduce back, shoulder, & neck pain while maintaining a safe and stable base. Chair yoga works especially well in jobs where people sit for long periods, experience physical strain, or benefit from stress reduction and accessibility.
