WCPL and the Red Cross just launched a new website designed for local individuals and families seeking help to fill their needs. The new online resource — “Start Here Warren County” — is an easy-to-access, comprehensive directory of area services, providing contact information for and details about public services, crisis resources, food banks, support groups, non-profits, school and early childhood resources — the works!
While its primary goal is to help community members have access to crucial, current information in one central, easy-to-navigate website, we also want to help the helpers in our community — case workers, navigators, family resource coordinators, librarians — by making it easier to answer questions and refer people to the help that they need.
Support types are grouped into the following topics:
- Daily Needs & Services
- Health & Wellbeing
- Family & Community Support
- Crisis & Emergency Assistance
- Economic & Educational Advancement
- Special Populations
If you work with an agency or organization that is not currently included, submit your information via site’s submission form! To search the database, visit the go directly to: www.startherewarrencounty.org. There is also a “quick link” on the library’s website.
Thanks to our friends at Vid Monster for helping bring the project to life!
