How to use this web page’s “Recite Me” feature:

If you need to enlarge the text of an eBook:

For a book you’re reading on your smart phone or tablet:

    • on the Libby app: Tap the screen, and then tap on “A” to access “Appearance” options. You may use the “Text Scale” slider to change the font size; toggle on “Include accessibility sizes” to gain access to the largest font sizes on the scale.
    • on the hoopla Digital app: Tap on the “Aa” icon at the top right of your screen (if you don’t see it, tap once in the middle of your screen, and it should appear), then drag the “Text Size” slider to the right to make it larger. You may also change the Screen Brightness or select a different Font from here.

For a book you’re reading in a browser on your computer:

      • through OverDrive Read (instructions HERE.)
      • through hoopla: click the icon of the 2 Ts at the top right, and then adjust the “Font Size” slider. 

Additional Libby & hoopla accessibility features:

  • Libby app: You may choose from three Lighting options and some additional Book Design options. including OpenDyslexic. The app also allows you to change the playback speed for audiobooks and set a sleep timer.
  • hoopla app: Captions / subtitles options are available for videos.
