Hosted by WCPL and Warren County Parks & Recreation:
FREE & fun for the entire family!

NOTE: These summer day camps are designed for kids accompanied by parents, guardians, or caregivers!
Please register at least one adult with each group.

Bug Bonanza Camp

Join us for a week of buggy wonders, creepy crawly activities, a talk & bug walk with bug influencer “All Bugs Go to Kevin,” and a bug parade! 

  • Dates: June 8-11 (Monday through Thursday)
  • Times: 12 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • Locations: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday will take place at Buchanon Park Gym (9222 Nashville Rd). Tuesday we will meet at The Capitol (416 E Main) for a movie.
  • Target age range: Elementary

Registration groups must include 1 adult for up to 10 kids. Register under the name of the adult who will be attending, then add additional campers.

Camp Half-Blood Camp

This camp is perfect for Percy Jackson fans and will include Greek Myths, armor building, themed crafts, archery demo, quests & Olympic Games!

  • Dates: June 22-25 (Monday through Thursday)
  • Times: 12 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. 
  • Target age range: Elementary

Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday of Camp Half-Blood will take place at Buchanon Park Gym (9222 Nashville Rd). Tuesday we will meet at The Capitol (416 E Main) for a movie.

Rocket Camp

Join us for a week of rocket science and space exploration! Build your own rockets, and get ready for launch day! 

  • Dates: July 6-9 (Monday – Thursday)
  • Times: 12 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. 
  • Locations: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday of Rocket Camp will take place at Buchanon Park Gym (9222 Nashville Rd). Tuesday we will meet at The Capitol (416 E Main) for a movie.

Block Party Camp

Join us for a week of Minecraft fun! Dig, build, explore, and learn about the world of Minecraft, as well as the world right outside!

  • Dates: July 20-23 (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday of Block Party Camp will take place at Buchanon Park Gym (9222 Nashville Rd). Tuesday we will meet at The Capitol (416 E Main) for a movie.
  • Times: 12 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. (M-Th)
  • Target age range: Elementary

Kids' Theatre Camp

Monday, July 6 – Friday, July 10
9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

We are so excited to welcome our 5-12 year olds back to the Capitol stage for a weeklong camp! Participants will learn the basics of theatrical voice, movement and character development as well as cultivate lifelong skills such as learning to work as a team and public speaking with confidence. More than anything, we hope this camp will be filled with fun and friendship!

*We recommend that all campers be at a first grade reading level.*

Teen Theatre Intensive #1: Tech Week

June 8 – June 12
9 a.m.-12 p.m.

For ages: 12-18 (non-college)

What goes on behind the scenes of a theatrical production? This week we’ll be discussing and experimenting with drafting, crafting scenery and props, lighting a stage, changeovers, scene transitions, and putting it all together for one big show! Join us for this backstage crash course!

Anticipated timeline (subject to change): 

  • Monday – Lighting
  • Tuesday – Drafting and Scenery Construction
  • Wednesday – Sound
  • Thursday – Stage Operations
  • Friday – Running the Show

Teen Theatre Intensive #2: As You Like It

June 22 – June 26
9 a.m.-12 p.m.

For ages: 12-18 (non-college)

Join us for a week long, non auditioned based, rehearsal process for William Shakespere’s As You Like It! During this intensive we will discuss and rehearse a 20-30 minute cut of the classic comedy. June 26th will feature an invited showcase.

The plot: Rosalind, disguised as a man in the forest, encounters her love, Orlando. She guides him through a series of trials to test his love.
