Winter Reading
Winter Reading is for folks of all ages.
Complete any combination of 5 books, audiobooks, or library programs/events and receive
a free book & a beanie. All completed logs will be entered to win a grand prize! Bring in a donation of shelf-stable food to receive an additional entry! Food will be donated to the Good Deeds Club & area food pantries.

Winter Reading Log
Pick up a reading log at any WCPL location or download a printable PDF by clicking the image.
Once you’ve filled your Winter Reading Log, drop it off at any WCPL location or register it online to receive your prize and be entered into a drawing for a grand prize.
Book Bundles
Use our “Ask A Children’s Librarian” form to request a bundle of up to 5 Winter themed or specific Holiday themed books!
Each Book Bundle also comes with a Barnaby the Bear bookmark!
Celebrate the end of Winter Reading with our beloved Winter Reading mascot: Barnaby the Bear! Join us for a tea party at the Bob Kirby Branch that will include light refreshments, fun activities, and a meet and greet with Barnaby himself.
Participate in Winter Reading by skating at SOKY Ice Rink!
Skating is regular price but will be $2 off if you show a WCPL library card. For ticket prices, go to sokyice.com.

Show the staff your WCPL Library Card and receive a free skate!
These outdoor storytimes will be held at the WCPL tent.
Thursday, Dec 2 – Pete the Cat!
- Storytimes @ 4 p.m. & 6 p.m.
- Pete the Cat will be there to greet skaters and non-skaters.
- $2 off skating if you wear a Pete the Cat costume/shirt or show a WCPL library card.

- Storytime @ 2 p.m.
- The Grinch will be there to grouch at skaters and non-skaters.

- Storytimes @ 4 p.m. & 6 p.m.
