Join Governor Andy Beshear for a hopeful conversation about reclaiming faith as a force for good and healing a divided nation through shared values. Centered around his new book, Go and Do Likewise: How We Heal a Broken Country, Governor Beshear will share stories of healing, justice, forgiveness, welcoming, and moral clarity. In Go and Do Likewise, Governor Beshear shares what his own faith has meant to him and how it has informed his family and public life. By regrounding faith in compassion and kindness, Beshear explores how we can begin to heal as a country.
Event Details
Due to unprecedented interest in this event, we’re excited to offer an outdoor overflow viewing option, allowing even more members of our community to experience Governor Beshear’s talk. A large digital screen will be located on the College Street side of Fountain Square Park, directly outside the Capitol, where the event will be streamed live. Attendees are welcome to bring a lawn chair and enjoy the program from Fountain Square Park. The outdoor stream will be available rain or shine, though cancellation may occur in the case of an extreme weather event.
Arrival & Seating
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Registration for this free event helps us plan for attendance but does not guarantee a seat inside the venue. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and attendees hoping to sit inside the Capitol are encouraged to arrive early.
Books
500 free pre-signed copies of Go and Do Likewise will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional copies will be available for purchase after the event. There will not be a meet-and-greet or personalized book signing following the program.
Security
Attendees entering the Capitol will go through a brief security screening upon arrival.
